In Phoenix I spent a lot of time in a knitting store. While in the store I decided it would be fun to make some Hawkeye scarves. I went with the keyhole scarf, which Deirdre was kind enough to read to me over the phone. Every drive in Phoenix was over a half hour, so I had plenty of time to finish one of the scarves while on vacation.

This looks so fun! Plus, I appreciate the scarf-in-front-of-palm-tree look.
I'm envisioning a vibrant orange/green combo for next St. Patrick's Day.
Great job on the scarf - it looks slightly out of place though! It will still great lots of use in still-freezing-cold-Iowa!
Is it thicker (heavier) than your average scarf? Did we really learn to knit at the same time?
It is knit as k1, p1 throughout, so it is twice as thick as a normal scarf. It's also bulky yarn, which makes it nice and thick. I am thinking about making one for myself too.
