I finally gave Margy her scarf, and she seems to like it. I love the stitch pattern - it's called cross stitch in Deirdre's 101 Designers book, but I couldn't find it anywhere else. I'm including a close-up, so you too can admire the clever pattern.
The pattern was really simple, but it was certainly slower than regular knitting, even once I got the hang of it. I haven't tried normal knitting again yet. But if everything was this pattern for a while, I wouldn't mind. I think it's wicked awesome (as in, girl, you are).

It's very pretty. It looks so soft!
This is even better in real life. It's the perfect width.
