Socks

I've started making socks, but I think I need larger needles. I followed the advice of the knitting store lady and went one size down from the pattern recommendation. They seem a bit small. Should I frog them and start over with larger needles?

I think you should swear and slam it down on the table. Then maybe Deirdre could fix them for you? That is now my approach to all knitting.

I hate to say this, but did you knit a sample square to test your needle size?

Also, I think socks look too small when they're on the needle, but somehow turn out perfect in real life. Just part of the magic that is needlecraft...

Hell no, I won't knit a sample square!

I can't stand all this gauge swatch disrespect.

I'm always a fan of frogging. Spending that much time knitting something that is not right is a waste of time.

Do you have a cable you could put them on to try them on? Or even a piece of yarn? Then you'd know for sure.
